The predominant idea behind the creation of the European Foundation for Cooperation and Science was the willingness to engage graduates of various majors from Cracow universities and encourage them to participate in societal undertakings by means of completing tasks that are in line with their fields of interest. The major achievements of the Foundation, that was established in 2018 by Artur Jach-Chrząszcz, include the co-organization of both national and international scientific conferences, as well as the realization of three Meet and Code scientific grants within the scope of the European Coding Week, promoting the idea of digital education amongst children and teenagers.
They were all strictly connected with the major goal of the European Foundation for Cooperation and Science, being the development of science among children, teenagers, graduate and postgraduate students. Due to this, in 2019, the Board of the EFCAS Foundation made a decision to sign an agreement to establish cooperation with scientific and research bodies supervised by the Pedagogical University of Cracow, namely: the Pro Universitatis Foundation and the Chair of Law, Administration, and Economy. The most important tasks the Board, together with the participants of the EFCAS Foundation, will attempt to achieve are as follows:
Activities for the development of science,
Activities supporting economic development, including the development of entrepreneurship,
Activities for European integration and development of contacts and cooperation between societies,
Activities in the field of social and charity help,
Cultural, sports and educational activities aimed at developing the potential of society and its integration,
Activities promoting the protection of human rights, freedoms and civil liberties, as well as the development of democracy and civil society,
Activities supporting the development of children and youth.
